Interview process was easy. Question were on core concepts. They were basically looking for how confidant and good are the communication skills.

The interview was very easy.There were Three rounds of interview.The Technical Knowledge of Interviwers were pathetic.They didn't know even 50 % of what I knew.So It was a cake walk for me.Infact after working in HCL for last one year I understand that interview process is of poor quality

This is where HCL cheat .They agreed to every thing I asked.They said That I will be in consulting and Technology service.But after joining in HCL they didn't do anything they promised.It is a very Unethical company

Attended on 26th Nov. Opening was for PL/SQL developer with an exposure on UNIX Shell scripting.
1> Technical round 1 : Was a general tech round, was asked to write down so many syntax.
2> Technical round 2 : Scenario based questions.
3> HR round : Just salary negotiation.

After the interview is done, there was no response for 3 months. HR kept holding on the result for some unknown reason. When I asked for clear statement on the result, I got to know they are still looking to make a best fit. after long wait for 3 months, I got the offer. HR insisted me to get relieved early and join(was on bench for 2 months after joining, din't understand the hurry by HR ), HR also promised for notice period buy out.. but never wrote a mail on Notice period buy out. Even though i sent a email regarding NP payout, and asked for confirmation for same, there was no response. however, after long follow up i could get a place where, i can get NP reimbursed.
The designation offered is no guarantee for the role you get in the company.

I got the interview through a Staffing Agency and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview.

At the first we are advised to take up a aptitude test. Later some of them got shortlisted. Among them I was also shortlisted. Later there was a face to face interview. It consisted only one round. It had technical round and HR round at one stretch. He asked something on reality about technical things like how can you define inheritance in real world?, How can you manage the searching of a particular things in Google in a ordered way. He asked some funny questions also to test my vocabulary like , Can you tie the tie? Which is your favorite abroad country? I said Switzerland. He told me to justify for it. I did. Finally got selected in HCL as a software engineer. :)
