There's a previously agreed upon rate by the individual branch. When you negotiate, HR then has to discuss with that branch and see if they have the budget to meet your requirements.

I interviewed online. The process took 2 weeks - interviewed at HSBC Bank USA in November 2009.

    Interview Details

Within days of applying online, I was contacted. I was told that I would be called back for a phone interview a few days later. After the phone interview, I was told to come to an open house. At the open house, I took a tour of the facility. I also had two different interviews with two of the call center managers. Everyone seemed to enjoy their job. The very next day after the open house, I was called and offered the job. I was told within 48 hours, I needed to have my drug testing and fingerprinting done.

    Interview Questions
    • Tell me a time when you were unable to overcome an obstacle? How did you handle the situation?   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
There was no negotiation. The position is entry level. They tell you that they pay between 12.00 to 14.00 an hour but they start everyone at 13.50 an hour.
