I applied through a recruiter and the process took a day - interviewed at HSBC - HDPI in January 2013.

Interview Details – Interview consists of 4 rounds, the company HR called me in the afternoon and scheduled the interview for the next day 11:30 , since it was scheduled number of people were 10-12 , 1st round HR was taken by a foreign hr , he was gentle basic questions from CV,
2nd round online test wherein language skills are tested includes a listening test
3rd round telephonic ( Voice and accent )passage reading followed by a 2 minutes speech on given topic. followed by questions based on speech.
4th operations round (Most difficult) interviewer by the operations manager with too much grilling and drilling of resume the questions very asking only thing what is customer service how u can provide an exceptional services, they are looking for live examples from your previous work experience, people going for the interview be prepared with 4-5 live examples.

I applied in-person and the process took a day - interviewed at HSBC - HDPI in April 2008.

Interview Details – I submitted my resume and I got a call from the company.They were 5 rounds .The first was typing skills test..2. listening skills.You need to listen to conversations and answer questions. 3. Personal Intro round, 4. Group discussion where two people need to discuss info about pictures that interviewers give.and Last round is the HR round.You need to have a lot of self confidence when you answer questions and you need excellent communication and listening skills

Negotiation Details – Negotiating is a very annoying process with this company cause they never respond well to this. As every one know they always want to pay less and extract more from the employees.So one need to be very determined with the package that he is looking for and how many times they ask you better stick to one figure and it will be confirmed.
