Interviewed Feb 2010 in Manchester, England (United Kingdom) (took 2 months)

Started with online application followed by numerical and verbal reasoning tests. This was followed by a telephone interview, followed by a half day assessment centre. This was 1 on 1 (ie just yourself and your assessor, not group tasks) based around customer service. The first task was an extended interview, the second 2 were tasks (one a roleplay). The assessment centre was conducted by an external recruitment team.

Very helpful recruitment team. The process is a little lengthy and they didn't seem to notice when I was slow in returning documentation (so if you're hanging on to hear back from another interview, pushing it a little seemed to be ok!)

Other Details

I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a Skills Test, a Personality Test and a Background Check.

Applied online and received a callback approximately three weeks later. Interviewed by the HR manager, and two HSBC representatives. Almost all questions were behavioural questions with some general interview questions thrown in. I thought the interview went well, felt very confident but did not get the job.
