I applied online. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at HSBC Holdings in February 2010.

    Interview Details

Started with online application followed by numerical and verbal reasoning tests. This was followed by a telephone interview, followed by a half day assessment centre. This was 1 on 1 (ie just yourself and your assessor, not group tasks) based around customer service. The first task was an extended interview, the second 2 were tasks (one a roleplay). The assessment centre was conducted by an external recruitment team.

    Interview Questions
    • No particularly difficult questions, typical competency Qs, plus some others like if you could pick ANY job in the world, what would your dream job be and why?   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
Very helpful recruitment team. The process is a little lengthy and they didn't seem to notice when I was slow in returning documentation (so if you're hanging on to hear back from another interview, pushing it a little seemed to be ok!)

I applied online. The process took 2 daysinterviewed at HSBC Holdings in June 2009.

    Interview Details

Applied online and received a callback approximately three weeks later. Interviewed by the HR manager, and two HSBC representatives. Almost all questions were behavioural questions with some general interview questions thrown in. I thought the interview went well, felt very confident but did not get the job.
