Interviewed May 2010 in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) (took 4 days)
The hiring process is simple and not very efficient. You send resume to a generic email of HR, then HR forward your resume to whoever needs intern. HR don't care what job you're looking for, as long as your availability fits the manager's need. They match resume and job based on time, not skills or need. The hiring decision is really up to whoever interview you.

Interviewed Jan 2009 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
CV/Application form -> -> Online Maths test -> Online Personality Questionnaire -> Phone Interview -> Assessment Day (One to one interview/Presentation)
Very professional recruitment process, although it took approximately 2 1/2 months from start to finish! Interview was competency based, questions like why HSBC, why banking, time you've dealt with a customer, time you've worked in a team,
Presentation was prepared in advance about a company of your choice and was straightforward. Followed by a Q & A session: Q's like what would you do if you were the CEO of company X..?

Interviewed Dec 2010 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
One competency-based pass-or-fail telephone interview lasting approximately 25 minutes. HR on the other end of the phone, with a list of pre-set questions and a computer to type in candidate responses after every answer. Expect short-breaks between questions, and some questions probing deeper into your previous answers. Received an email 10 minutes after interview to notify me that I had passed.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 4+ weeks)
First you do a phone interview with regular range of behavioral questions, then they email you whether or not you have passed it and if you did, send your transcripts + CV and Cover Letter to hiring manager, who will then decide whether or not invite you to AC. AC was comprised of SHL test in paper form, Presentation based on a case and 3 two-on-one interviews.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
The telephone interview lasted 30 min. I thought the HR would ask about competency questions about your experiences, however, it turned out to be some strange questions. What I felt after that interview was that it was more like an personality test than a normal telephone interview. They did not care about ur personal abilities.
