Interviewed Oct 2011 in College Station, TX (took 2 weeks)
Got the first interview through our university's career center. They had an info session the night before the interview day where they described all of the different positions available and what it's like to work for Halliburton. First interview was all behavioral questions, nothing too tough. I actually didn't feel that good about it though leaving, so I didn't expect a second interview. About a week later, I received an email saying I had been accepted for a second interview in College Station, TX. They flew me out there a week later, covering all expenses. There were 10 of us there interviewing. The first day we were given a presentation then went on a tour of the facilities. Afterwards, we went out to eat dinner. The next morning we each had one on one interviews. The interview basically consisted of where you wanted to work, what position you wanted, and what you thought the hardest thing for you would be. Very easy. It seemed like they had already made decisions of who they would hire. Everything was very laid back, and it was an enjoyable experience. I wasn't offered the position I wanted however, so I declined.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Morgantown, WV (took a day)
It was very straightforward interview. I did great because I was trying to show the interviewer social interaction behavior, I also controlled the interview by asking many question. The key is study as much as you can about the company and surprised them that you know a lot..

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Terre Haute, IN (took a day)
I applied on a college career website and was contacted by Halliburton with the interview offer. I attended an information session where everyone involved was very straight forward with the working conditions; they were not afraid to tell you that you were going to get your hands dirty. The company seems fairly laid back which really makes sense because they are working in the field, not in a white-walled lab.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took a day)
I thought the interview went very well. It was surprisingly casual and he asked only 4 behavioral questions. Overall I enjoyed the experience and was quite surprised when I got an email 2 days later saying I hadn't been accepted to the second round.
He said the second round would consist of a personality test when they would place you in the area that you were best suited according the the results.

Go to the info session before the interview to meet the interviewers and make your presence known. Questions were pretty easy basic work history questions and information about the job. Second interview is more intense and rather informal.

The interview process is only one interview for the internship position. It was fairly informal and held at my university. It had the typical describe a situation where ____ happened how did you react and what was the outcome type thing. Over all i enjoyed hearing about the company and thought the interview was good. Interviewed Sep 2011 (took a day)
The interview was relatively easy. I received the interview through a campus career fair and was told to apply online through my university's career center. About a week later, I got an interview. I went to the info session that several Halliburton employees put on for us the day before my scheduled interview. Unfortunately, I had an exam and had to leave early.
The questions were typical interview questions. "Tell me about a good and bad decision you've made recently." Stuff like that. Overall, an easy interview with an easy going recruiter.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Houston, TX (took 2 days)
If you interned in the SCMP program you get offers based off, supposedly, your performance during the summer and your final presentation.
If you don't intern and apply for the program separately, the interview process is very intense. Many 1-on-1 interviews and a couple of group interviews. You may also be asked to give a short, 10 min, presentation on any topic relating to oil field work.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
The culture is the most negative culture I have witnessed.
Other Details
