Received a call one month later after applying on their website. A phone interview was conducted asking 5-7 basic customer service questions such as, what would you do if you could not immediately solve a problem.

Phone interview consisted of brief description of the job, merchandising background discussion and a verbal agreement to work holiday hours when needed.

The area manager, territory manager, store manager and store assistant manager were all present at the interview. I got the feeling that they wanted to make sure I looked the part. The area manager was very assertive and somewhat overbearing. And as if the interviewing process was not grueling enough, the positon only pays 7.85 per hour. Can you imagine, Hallmark Cards only pays 7.85 an hour
