I was hired after a 3-minute phone interview and a ten minute one-to-one interview. From what I understand, no background check was made on me, nor did they ever check my references. I wasn't given any skill tests, and they were looking for only the most basic of skillsets.

I walked in and filled out an application and the (former) Front Desk Manager scheduled an interview for the following day. After she interviewed me the (former) General Manager spoke to me and I was introduced to other team members. Began working 3 weeks later.

I was asked about work experience and if I knew anything about the company. (I did. Information came in handy.) Then, I took a tour around the hotel and was told my responsibilities. Then, I did a background check which took five days. Afterwords, I got the job.

Found ad for the position on Craigslist. After emailing my resume to the Front Desk Manager, I received a phone call within two days from the GM. After initial interview I received call for second interview with GM and GM of neighboring property (same owners). Had offer two days later.

I responded to a Craigs List post on a Friday morning. I received a call from the hotel about 3 hours later. I scheduled and interview with the owner of the hotel for that same afternoon. I had an interview lasting approximately 30 mins, then the owner scheduled an interview the following Monday with me and the general manager. I met with the general manageer for about a half hour. I receive a call a few days later stating that I would be hired pending a drug test, which I passed.
I started work later than week.

Went in to get the job application and was recived by a wonderful front desk clerk, she served me breakfast while I filled it out and had a plesant conversation. had the interview which went well with both manager and then the asst manager. they called me back thar day and offered me the job.

The interview process was a little intimidating. The business is not doing well and they are desperate for someone to come and improve things. This was a little uncomfortable, but at least the hiring manager was honest.

Interviewed Feb 2010 (took 4+ weeks)
I applied in person and waited to get a call back and it didn't happen. I waited a week and called the hotel manager to follow up on my application. I applied at a great time as one of the current front desk agents was moving to another state. The interviewing process was fairly easy. The Assistant Manager who interviewed me was unorganized and didn't really know what to ask me. So, we just sat and talked for a while about the the type of guest I might encounter. I then was asked to sign forms for the background check etc. I was called back for an additional interview with the Operational Manager and I was hired on the spot.
