Interviewed May 2011 in Marlborough, MA (took a day)
After droping off applicatin I received a phone call to set up an interview time and once arived I was taken into the ARM (this company's HR Dept) office and had a one on one interview with the ARM Mannager. She had a list of questions from a form interview sheet that she chose a few questions from each section to ask me. I answered and never felt any pressure. Afterwards I was taken over to the pharmacy and asked was asked a few pharmacy related questions by her. If I did not know about the pharmacy I would not of been able to answer these questions, however they were very basic in pharmacy jargon.

Interviewed Oct 2008 in Bedford, NH (took a day)
I already worked with the company. This was an interview for a new store that was being built in the area. The interview was the grocery manager and assistant store manager of the new store. I had already worked with both of them before so the interview was pretty informal. Hannaford has a standard interview outline of questions to ask so we loosely followed that, mostly pertaining to how you would handle different situations.

The process is easy. You go to the website, apply, and someone calls you in a week or so. If they don't call you, call them and ask someone to check on your application. It's very easy to do, grocery stores will hire just about anyone. Hannaford is a better grocery store than most to work for.
