Interviewed May 2012 in Milwaukee, WI (took a day)
- I interviewed for a 3-year leadership development program.
- Very poor interview performance by H-D HR-staff, not sufficiently prepared to answer questions properly...
- The program coordinator wasn't even in for the interview, the one who has the most responsibility in that process....
- HR staff didn't even have business cards on hand, to give information for follow-up opportunities...
- Being selected from over 120 candidates for a personal interview, I just got the typical automated rejection email... I think you could expect a very short personal notice...
- Overall skills brought to the table were not understood and underestimated...
- This company definitely doesn't act smart or responsible or representative in their hiring procedures...

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Milwaukee, WI (took 2+ months)
Initial interview was with two attorneys, rather than HR (always nice to be interviewed by others in your peer group); included very basic in-house screening questions regarding prior experience, what you would bring to H-D, etc. Company was very prompt about following up with a 4-hour callback interview in which I met with various small panels of people from HR, in-house legal and various client groups; also included a one-on-one interview with the GC. Interview questions were about 80% behavioral.
H-D seemed like a nice place and the actual interview experience was great. My one criticism is that the post-interview process was not handled well. The decision-making process dragged on for 6 weeks, and getting feedback about the status of the process was very difficult.

Interviewed Jan 2008 in Menomonee Falls, WI (took a day)
Initially sent Harley my resume in September 2007 in response to an ad posting. Didn't receive a request for an interview until early December. Drove to Milwaukee for an interview at 6:00 p.m.
Interview was about an hour long. It consisted of mostly behavior-based questions, with some standard interview questions mixed in. Overall, it felt like a normal corporate interview.

Interviewed Sep 2009 in Milwaukee, WI (took a day)
This was at an MBA Career Fair. Two person panel conducted mainly a situational/personality interview. Nothing too difficult. They spent a lot of time just describing the company and position. Not very impressed.
