Interviewed Mar 2011 in Hampstead, NC (took a day)
The hiring process was simple. I applied on the company website and completed a 60 question survey. The manager called me the next day to set up and interview. I attended the interview wearing a shirt, tie, and Khaki pants. The interview took approximately 20 minutes. I gave permission for a background check. About 2 days later they manager called and said I passed the background check and i came in and submitted a drug test (swap in the mouth). Waited a few days until the results came back and the manager called me and scheduled a time for me to complete the new hire paper work, gave me a schedule and I started working the next day.

I applied online at Harris Teeter's website then called the store nearest to my home and spoke with the hiring manager. She assured me that she would look for my application online and about a week later I was called and asked to come in for a drug screen, I was hired a week later.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Greensboro, NC (took 5 days)
I applied and called about two days later to make sure the hiring manager saw my application and to let him know that I was still interested in the job. He viewed my application that day and called me the next day to offer me an interview. I came and spoke to him he asked me basic questions about my previous jobs and why I likes working in a customer service environment. Then he told me that a background check would be done and if everything turned out fine I would be called again to go take my drug test. I was called and did take my drug test at Labcorp. It took about a week for Harris Teeter to receive those results and when they did I was called in to begin my paid online training. This took about 3 days due to my school schedule and then I was working the cash register :)

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Alexandria, VA (took a day)
The interview process was pretty simple in my opinion. The woman took me into an office and asked me a few questions. She asked things like "What is good customer service to you?" and she also gave me a few scenarios and asked what I would do in those situations. Then she asked if I would be willing to do a drug test.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Ashburn, VA (took 5 days)
I applied online. I went into the store and spoke with a manager to set up an interview. The main question they asked was why you want to work at the store. They will try to convince you to open your availability as much as possible, but if you have certain hours that you want to work then be firm. Just be friendly and show them that you can follow the rules (though some seem unnecessary at times) and you will be fine.
