Harte-Hanks Marketing Programs Interview

Was contacted by a Harte-Hanks personnel recruiter for a marketing programs position for one of the Harte Hanks divisions. After a lengthy phone interview with the recruiter, I waited more than a week before I was contacted with details for a follow up phone interview with the hiring manager. Took a while to arrange the interview due to the hiring manager's schedule. When we finally spoke, the hiring manager seemed more interested in tapping me for ideas on marketing than interviewing me for their opening. Whenever I tried to ask a question about what they were looking for, the hiring manager deflected the question with more questions of his own about marketing ideas and how things are done at my current position. All in all, I felt a little used. When I was contacted for a follow up interview I declined; if he couldn't t tell me more about the position and what they were looking for in an interview, then I didn't have a good feeling about getting any idea of what they wanted when it came to actually doing the job.
