Well, I decided to take a chance applying to Hastings with no previous work experience. I took the personality test and after almost exactly 2 weeks I got a call to schedule an interview. I went in, made sure I dressed nice and she made me feel comfortable and relaxed unlike other interviews I'd gone into previously. When she saw me, she told me she'd liked I'd dressed up for the interview bringing up past interviews which hadn't been as prepared. Then we talked about my schooling and she talked to me about the hours I would be getting at first and how the schedules are planned and the holiday season hours for me to expect. Then she went over the pros and cons of the job and what to expect to do as part of the job I applied for. She then told me about the benefits I'd get like discounts and such, she even told me how I could see where the best discounts I'd get on what items would be on the computer system. I was asked what experience I have and also what I like about Hastings. At the end, I was asked what other questions I had and all I asked was as to how long the training would take, since some other places I'd applied did training for 8weeks. She then told me if I was okay with taking a drug test and as long as I had the job, I could start in approximately one week and that was it.
