Interviewed Jul 2010 (took 1+ week)
Prior to the interview, I took a computer skills test along with a keyboarding speed and proficiency test. The interview started on time and lasted about 1.5hours.
The interview process was comprehensive, and included a review of the resume submitted, clinical skills questions, and personality questions. Many scenarios were presented and I was asked to describe how I would handle them. I was also asked questions about personal work experiences.
The interviewer was from the corporate office, and was knowledgeable, relaxed, and easy to converse with. I was provided a tour of the facilities, and noticed how each worker had personalized their workspace with photos, plants, and other "homey" touches. Despite having dozens of workspaces in the same room, it was quiet with background white noise to help diffuse individual conversations. One thing that stood out was the way everyone was dressed- casual and comfortable.
The facility itself is only about 5 years old, has meaningful artwork and quotes on the walls, and is very pleasantly decorated. The outer walls are solid windows so you can always see outside. There is a wonderful kitchen/eating area that has refrigerators and freezers, microwaves, a toaster oven, coffee makers and a sink. There is a self-serve area to purchase meals and snacks, a flat screen TV, and multiple tables and chairs. Also available are a small comfy "living room" area for reading/relaxing, a meditation room, and a small workout gym. The amenities are wonderful!
From my initial contact, the interview process, offer and acceptance took less than 2 weeks.
Interview Questions
Negotiation Details
No salary negotiation. The salaries are set based on years of previous experience and not tailored to more specific skills that would better prepare one for a telephonic job. Hours are not negotiable. Make certain you clarify the hours you would be working to see if it could match with your family life.
Other Details
I applied In-Person and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Skills Test and a Background Check.
