Interviewed Jun 2010 in Miami, FL (took a day)
The interview was held at school by one rep. It was very straight forward and nothing to it. I ended up getting the internship and only enjoyed working in the office.

Interviewed Jan 2012 (took a day)
I apply with the company through their website in December 2011. I was emailed about an interview in their Mid-Atlantic office. Interview consisted of 1:1 with Vp, PM, PE, and estimator. Most of the questions come from your resume.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in San Francisco, CA (took a day)
The interview was very friendly. I expected an interrogation style interview to really qualify me. The interview largely consisted of going over my resume while I explained certain things that I have done in the past. The interviews were great and made me feel welcomed especially considering I lack experience. I attempted to communicate values rather than experience as values and character are timeless and cannot be learned easily. I was quickly offered the internship within a few days and I accepted. Hensel Phelps is appears to be a great company that has been around for a while.

Interviewed Jan 2009 in San Diego, CA (took 1+ week)
General conversaiton to start. Questions about why you want to be in construction and what you know about the company. They are looking for people who take the time to research the company first. If you don't know any facts about jobs built in your area or the history and culture of the company, the thought is that you aren't really that interested in having a career with the company. They are looking for people who want a career, not just a job and paycheck.

Negotiation Details
Did not negotiate. They generally won't. They offer too much compensation down the road.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Austin, TX (took 6 days)
It was very professional, they don't make you feel like you are being interrogated; it's more like a conversation. I interviewed on a Wednesday, and heard back the following Tuesday; received my offer that Friday. I interviewed for about 30 mins with a project engineer, than another separate 30 mins with an area superintendent.

Interviewed Jan 2008 (took 2 weeks)
Smooth process, this is a very professional and organized company that treats all people with respect. The interviews were very informative, all questions were answered honestly and all of my expectations were exceeded. I recommend those being interviewed to research the company and learn as much as possible about the company to prepare.
