Interviewed Nov 2011 (took 3 months)
After applying and submitting my resume online, I received an email from the company to set up an interview to speak with someone in HR. During that interview (phone), I was asked basic questions about myself, my experience, and what I could offer to Hershey. I really like the woman who I interviewed with and felt like we had connected over the phone. She explained to me that the interview process, should I go further, would consist of mulitple parts: speaking with someone in HR, then a phone interview with the District Manager (phone because I was not in town), then a ride along with the local district manager in my area, and then a panel interview at the end. After about 2 weeks I received an email notifying me that I had moved on to the second step in the process and would be contacted to set up a time. About two weeks went by, and I was finally contacted by someone to set up an appointment with me on behalf of the district manager. When the day rolled around for me to interview, the manager called me about 20 minutes late and was very gruff. He indicated that he wanted all of my answers in STAR format (the lady who set up this interview warned me of that too), and continued to ask me questions about good customer service experiences, a time I turned a bad experience into a good one, etc. I thought I nailed the interview, but he didn't give me much insight into how I did, and I didn't feel the same connection with him as I had with the first lady in HR. About two more weeks went by and I hadn't heard anything, so I reached out to the company. Another week passed, and I got a basic automated email saying thanks, but no thanks. Overall, it was a long drawn out process that could have been handled over the course of two weeks and not two months.

Interviewed Mar 2012 (took 2 weeks)
It was my first interview. The hr screening was awesome. The woman was very sweet and made me feel relaxed and comfortable. The second interview the guy threw me off guard by asking questions about my nonexistent sales career.

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took a day)
The process started with a phone interview, followed by a day in the field and then a final round panel interview. The questions were STAR format situational questions such as "tell me about a time when you had to prioritize tasks. STAR format refers to the answer being the format of Situation, Task, Action, Result. The company culture is good, but somewhat risk averse.

Interviewed Mar 2012 (took 4 weeks)
started with a phone screening with HR. Then went to a phone interview with the District sales manager, then an in person interview with the DSM. After that I had a day in the field where I learn about the job first hand get to see what its like and most importantly if I would like it. Finally I had a panel interview with my District sales manager, area sales manager (his boss) and the business partner with HR. all the interviews used the STAR format which is basically explain a situation and give the outcome not hard at all. last interview was on a thursday excepted the position the following monday.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took 4+ weeks)
I met the recruiter at a career fair - she was very friendly and offered me an interview the next day.
The initial interview was very relaxed and easy. She made me feel very comfortable. She basically went over the position and the company and asked a couple, maybe 2 behavioral based questions. They are looked for the STAR format answer. The next step is to go on a day out in the field with a current representative. The day in the field is basically to see if you would like the job. We went to a couple different grocery stores and he went over his day to day activities. Ask lots of questions, be enthusiastic, and engaging.
The final step is the final panel interview. They fly you out to Hershey, PA and the panel interview is about 3 people and lasts about 45 minutes. They interviews were all very friendly and nice, no one seemed intimidating. The first few questions are basic, and then they take turns asking you behavioral based questions for about 35 minutes. Once again, make sure you are answering in the STAR format and have specific answers prepared.

It was your basic screening interview, told about the job and asked 2 questions. What are my strengths and tell a time when you had a difficult customer situation. she was very nice and told me about how the interview process would go there would be 5 interview total. She told me that the area sales manager would contact me if I were to continue on and he didn't. then I got an email saying they chose someone else.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Seattle, WA (took 4+ weeks)
First had a phone interview with the recruiter only about a 15 min conversation, passed that round then next had a second phone interview with a Manager lasted about 30 minutes STAR format. Why Hershey's? Are you open to relocation?Describe a difficult customer you have had to deal with, ect. Then I was set up for a field day which they rushed me into the next day so I had to take the day off work, because I didn't want to miss the opportunity. After field day I was contacted by the recruiter again saying that I made it to th e final interview and I had to fly out in two days to meet the Sales Manager of that district. Once again I re-arranged my schedule to make it to the final interview, good experience with flight, hotel, ect. Meet the Sales Manager and the part-time manager. Just more STAR format interview questions read right off a sheet of paper. I felt comfortable and I know that I would have killed at this job, because it's not too much sales mainly stocking inventory. Didn't hear back for 3 weeks that I wasn't selected, I was very dissapointed and I kept e-mailing HR to find out my status for being so rushed on for ride along and final interview. It seems like the RSR position they mainly hire females. I have never seen a male RSR,
