Interviewed Oct 2008 in Bangalore (India) (took 2+ weeks)
Nothing formal, the position was very critical & urgent so there was no avenue for the salary negotiation & the hiring process was fast. Heard that the hiring process in hp is too long.

Cash rich company they can offer the best of the standard market value, so go ahead & get your pie. What ever you get in the beginning gonna stay for long, little avenues for a hike, if at all there is it would be meager. So grab the best before joining.

Interviewed Feb 2010 (took 5 days)
Initial phone interview on background and experience, followed by panel phone interview with tech team. The initial interview was pretty standard behavioral stuff. The technical interview got very deep, very quickly. As is often the case, the technical questions were setting up a scenario and asking what you would do, but don't provide enough background information to recommend a solution.

Reason for Declining
Recruiter's understanding of the position was not in line with what HP was actually looking for and was not the right job for me.
