Interviewed Oct 2010 (took a day)
I was contacted by staffing agency for contract IT Project Manager position which had my resume. I had face-to-face with agency and reviewed my qualifications for the position. I provided two references which proved to land me the job. Both references were well known and trusted by the hiring manager. So you could say I got the job because of contacts.

Interviewed Apr 2010 in Tulsa, OK (took a day)
This was an internal interview for a position that I already had qualified for and had been identified as the probable candidate. An internal job requisition was posted, I submitted and on-line application with attached resume. I was then contacted by a recruiter. A 15 minute phone interview was done a day later. I had already been selected for the position, this interview was more of a formality. However, I was asked "How well you work with dispersed teams and get them to work together?" "What HP work ethic is most important to you and what have you done to uphold or demonstrate your support of this ethic?" This last one stumped me a little because I didn't know of any "list" of work ethics that HP had. I said that personal integrity was most important and tried to be upfront, honest and forthcoming in my dealings with colleagues and clients.
