Interviewed Dec 2011 in Columbia, SC (took a day)
The interviewer told me that he had all younger people working for him and did I think that I could work with younger people? I told him yes. Then he said that he hired on personality, not skill. It was a 10 minute interview and then I was hurried out. I knew it was age discrimination.
Other Details
The interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Parkersburg, WV (took a day)
You apply online, setup a testing date that's available (have to check everyday for testing dates that are available), go in for testing (skills, typing, personality, etc) you'll be in a testing class with ~20 people. If you pass the test, you get setup with an interview. Go interview, and if they want to hire you, they'll call you within their specified time frame. Very professional through and through.

Interviewed Jun 2009 (took 3 days)
Pretty straight forward interview process. HR contacted me and asked a few questions ove the phone. calle back and scheduled an interview and then did a 1 on 1 interview with the managers. I received a call back within a day with an offer. I decined, they countered within an hour and declined again. Would have required a significant pay cut.

Interviewed May 2011 (took a day)
I was told that I should be prepared for an online assessment, an interview, and a drug test. When I got there I was asked to take an online test that gave me a bunch of different scenarios I had to say how I would handle them. There were a lot of other people in the room. After I was done, a woman asked for my name and entered it into a computer and told me I didn't get the position.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Pittsburgh, PA (took a day)
This is most eccentric place I have interviewed for. I am MS graduate, applied for this position, got a email asking if I am available for interview. Notice was 2 days - weird. I made it to the company. The company said they would have a parking spot - I did not I had to pay for it and no one told me about this. They got 14 people for the interview. After the interview, I am in contact with 5 people and none of have ever heard back from this company. Nothing - they did not reply to my thank you email or ever told me that I was no good or anything. Never had an interview which was handled in a shabby manner.

Interviewed Mar 2011 (took a day)
Process began with a brief phone interview with a recruiter. This was mostly reviewing my resume and some general questions about work background. A few days later I was invited to come in for testing and an interview. She told me to plan on being there for several hours. When I arrived I received a visitor's pass and went to the HR offices where there were approx. 10 other people waiting to test. The test was long and tiring, probably one of the most grueling things I've been through on a job search. The test was on a computer and included everything from basic typing to math and meanings of words. After the test, we were herded into another room and asked to fill out a paper application repeating all the information contained on our resumes. Also, I was asked to sign forms to check credit history, references, and a background check. I thought this was odd since no job offer was yet made. Back to the HR lobby and another 20 minute wait, I was interviewed by the head of HR and then went into yet another office to meet with an immediate supervisor. I was told they were hiring 14 people. I thought the interviews went very well and all personnel were very nice and quite professional..however, I haven't even received a cursory e-mail saying no thanks. Very disappointed with the lack of follow-up from this company. I was professional, dressed well, e-mailed thank-yous to all parties. I was told job offers would be made by a certain date. I waited 3 days beyond this date and e-mailed HR who told me they were still "reviewing resumes" and offers would be made by the beginning of the following week. Wonderful, I still had a chance. Well, it's well over a month and I haven't heard a peep from this company. How disrespectful to someone who invested 4 hours, yes 4, of my time for testing and interviews and not even a courteous follow-up saying yay or nay. Maybe that was an indication of what to expect being employed by Highmark, so maybe it was for the best. Proceed with caution with this company. Oh, and by the way I went to their website and the same position is being advertised again.

Interviewed Sep 2008 in Pittsburgh, PA (took a day)
Very caual dress, flexible hours
The most extensive background chechs by a private co I have ever seen. They wanted to know details about every job I ever had in my life. The application was overly intrusive.
Lots of Indians work there, but they do not outsource...which is great for us.
Decent location.
They offred good benefits.
The people I met were friendly.
