Interviewed May 2011 in Topeka, KS (took 4 weeks)
Typical interview experience for a marketing position. Initial interview was a phone screen with HR, then one on one on site interviews a few weeks later. Interviews were with the person I would be replacing, the hiring manager and other directors from the department. The interviews were very professional and were about my experience and how that would translate to the work required from the position. Typical behavioral interviews.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Topeka, KS (took a day)
Flew into a different city and met with two VPs, one from HR and the other from research. Interviews were typical generic style interviews, "What have you done", "describe a time when..." but no real competency based interviewing and no case study or behavioural work. Interviews lasted a total of about 4 hours though, so comprehensive review of my experiences.
People were very kind and office looked clean and neat, but not particularly crowded.

Interviewed May 2011 in Saint Louis, MO (took 4 months)
The interview was with 3 people, one of whom would be my direct supervisor. The interview consisted of a round robin of questions for about an hour. Friendly and informative interview. Following the interview I was told I would be contacted in 1 week if they were interested, and 2 weeks if "they were going another direction" I got 7 weeks of utter silence, then a call to see if I was interested still. A bit annoying

Interviewed Mar 2011 (took a day)
Three interviewers included HR, Regional Sales and District Manager. Company and position was described and then behavioral interview was nine questions, rotating among the panel members. Had opportunity to ask my questions at the end of the interview. Interviews were being held all day long at a hotel.
Received files the day before via email of standard company application materials that I was to bring to the interview. It was not possible to fill in electronically so they were handwritten and of course the information requested did not fit in the space provided...

Interviewed Apr 2010 (took a day)
I applied online and was immediately granted a screening interview by phone. The phone interview consisted of typical behavior questions and a review of my skills and abilities. The problem is you will not get any feedback as to how your interview went. I interview for two different positions. I heard back on one position and was told I would not be asked to proceed. As for the second position, it has been almost three months and I have not been given a yes or no as to whether I will be asked to proceed. The process to get hired is a very long, drawn out process. At this point, I have no interest in working for this company even if they were to call me back.

Interviewed Sep 2008 in Topeka, KS (took 7 weeks)
You are brought into a room in which several managers some from different teams around the company, but also with the human resource managers. Brand managers ask you questions in regards to your experience and what you know about the company. They then give you a situation in which you have acted in the past.

Interviewed Feb 2008 (took 2 months)
Phone interview with the recruiting manager went very well, she was professional, etc. Then there was a long time inbetween contact. Another phone interview then on-site with 5 managers. Not impressed with the onsites as the interviewers spent the entire time talking about themselves, not asking questions. Was told I would hear something promptly, they were really impressed, etc. I sent the thank you notes to all parties that interviewed me and then.....nothing....called the recruiter 2 weeks later to touch base, she did not call me back. 1 month later, I had completely forgotten about them, when the recruiting manager from the parent company (Colgate Palmolive) called me and offered me a job in New Jersey! I said I was not interested and hung up. Not impressed, would not work for them.
