Interviewed Apr 2011 in Indianapolis, IN (took 6 weeks)
First step was 30-minute in-person interview. This stage was a 'cattle call", with several people scheduled in 30-minute blocks.
Received a call-back after 2-3 weeks for in-person interview. Met with hiring manager, peers (2), director, and HR. Was told decision would be made within 1 week.
Two weeks later HR called to set up a phone interview with hiring manager and peer to ask additional questions. At time of meeting one of the persons was unavailable. Hiring manager asked a few additional questions. Set up another phone interview for the following week. Hiring manager was unable to make this meeting. HR stepped in, cancelled the phone interview and sent an offer letter.
Offer was low for someone with an advanced degree and several years of experience. I counter-offered, and was told the hiring manager would call. The peer who had interviewed me previously was now the hiring manager (I assume he was promoted). He called, said the offer was non-negotiable, that the job did not require an advanced degree (job posting stated explicitly that advanced degree was preferred).
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining

it's really nice experience. 3 senior internal auditors interviewed in 1 hours, but not the same time. but i didnt feel stressful at all. They kept the conversation going smoothly, and didnt try to trick you. Just get general preparation. you can get it.

Gruelling five step process (phone, 1:1, day in field; second 1:1, and final 1:1). Very hard to do when employed at the time.

Interviewed Jun 2010 in Danbury, CT (took a day)
The interview wasn't arranged well, change the schedule all the time. Workplace is kind of mass, more like a startup but will not share the profit with employees as a startup. Engineers there is OK, but management seems not that professional. For a company has more than 3000 people, they are still using some low efficiency management method. Less than 80 people are currently working on R&D which is < 2.7%. It surprised me how they are going to survive in the industry. Human resource person is not professional at all, always bring out the salary questions although I told her my current salary at the beginning. It seems to me she is a junior recruiter and want to get some credit or something. Basically she even can't arrange the interview process very well. Job hunter need to pay attention to company like HoLogic. Do not wast your time on it.
