Interviewed Oct 2011 in Long Island City, NY (took a day)
Applied online Got a call a week later from automated messaging system. Answered a few questions pretty much what was online. Next day got an email saying to call 877 number to schedule interview with store. Took 1 week to get an appointment because the manager did not list interview schedule with HR. Went for the interview and associate manager was not in for work that day and was interviewed by her assistant. interview went well lots of hypethatical questions. was asked to wait outside to while she talked to HR managers in the next room to see if she can ask for an appointment for second interview. When she comes back she said they actually want to interview you now. Met with Hr manager it was a 2:1 interview but the second person acted like he wasnt paying attention (but he really was). was offered the position for 10.50/hr and got the job permently not seasonal. Received drug test form and had 48 hrs to complete it. Took the drug test with quest diagnostics and had not heard since. Now heres the issue took something to take care of the drug test issue (gnc flush). I know if i failed I would of received a call saying I failed. So i called lexis nexis and they said they had my results the next day with that info I called the stores hr back and the lady said she was waiting for the final paper work to come in and she would give me a call still waiting for the call. Ive heard the background check is what takes a lengthy time but if i failed the drug test they wouldnt bother with a background check and Im pretty sure the woman would have told me I failed and we retract the offer. She knew who I was and responded back quite nicely but left me hanging with wait for her call.

Interviewed Feb 2009 in Kansas City, MO (took 3 days)
Applied online. Received a call about 4 weeks later on a Tuesday morning asking if I would like to come in to the store for an interview. Did so later that morning and interviewed with a very knowledgeable lady from Human Resources. Was asked to come back that evening to interview with an Associate Manager of the store which I did. The following day I was called by the Store Manager to set up another interview with the Department Supervisor that evening. Having now been through three relatively comfortable interviews, I was called again by the Store Manager to set up a final interview. That took place on the third day and I was offered a job which I took although the pay was less than I had expected.

Interviewed Dec 2010 in Myrtle Beach, SC (took a day)
I applied online, about five to six weeks later I received a phone call from Home Depot's HR in Georgia. Called back, and went through a fairly short interview. About three or four questions. Then they told me the usual, "If your qualifications meet our requirements then you will be receiving a call back."
Just waiting on that call back.

Interviewed Jul 2010 (took 1 week)
I was called to interview for the position not too long after I applied online. To my surprise the lady who interviewed knew I was a bit despred, but at the same I do have three years of experience in construction. Though this didn't motivate her to pay anymore than the 9.25 I accepted. She told me to wait for a phone call and also asked about my experience. I really want the job so I ask if I could speak with the supervisor of the dept. She agreed which made me happy. I spoke with him that same night for almost an hour with high hopes went home. I thought, "if anything I can at least have a better chance next time this store has a position open." Again, im knowing that my three years of experience are worth something right? Well, about a week later I got called to take a drug test and sign for the background check. I did my 20 hours training and will be starting next week, part time. Great isn't ?
im looking forward for the experience with H.D. I can only imagine learning about lumber and foundation building for small home or as addons for houses. I stumbled upon this website trying to get information on how to get a pay raise with the company. I have a son and a wife to take care so 9.25 with 3 years of experience isn't worth it and i have to have a second job as a security guard so it pretty much sucks. But only time will tell!

Negotiation Details
Couldn't negotiate because I don't know how. Times are tough right now another reason and the fact that I do still somewhat believe that if I really want a job, I just might be able to get in at a lower pay rate.
