way to long for a 10$ per hr job and they dont care if you've done the job before they look for key words that dont even have anything to do with the job how hard you work or your knowledge of anything
worst place to work in 35 years of employment

Interviewed Apr 2012 in Riverside, CA (took 2 days)
I applied Tuesday, got an email letting me know I was going to get a call for a phone interview. I got the call, they asked 4 questions, how do you handle a difficult customer...why do you feel you are right for this position..tell me about a time when you had to meet a deadline.. so on n so fourth.. he explained how much the position paid, and the terms of employment then asked me if i was still interested. I then scheduled an interview for the following day. I went to the interview and then the interviewer asked me 6 questions, which he says are standard.. and then he had me talk to another supervisor, who then offered me the job. I was then sent to take a drug test and now I'm waiting to be called back after the background check.

Interviewed Feb 2012 (took a day)
I applied online and the next day I did a phone interview. They ask about three different customer service questions: How did I deal with a difficult customer and how I went beyond to help a customer. Then I was scheduled for an in store interview immediately . The store interview was with the assistant manager , the assistant manager basicly read from a pamphlet and wrote down my answers. I was then offered the cashiers position.

Interviewed Mar 2012 in Hackettstown, NJ (took 2 weeks)
I applied online after seeing banners in the stores promoting employment opportunities. One day after I applied I received a message telling me to call a 1-866-xxx-xxxx number. I called and was directed to a staffing center associate who asked me 3 interview type questions and then said I may be hearing from them. One week later I received another phone message to call and was prompted to schedule an interview with extremely limited time slots.
I arrived for the interview as scheduled, but the hiring manager was busy with other applicants so another departmental floor manager took control and interviewed me. He asked me one question and said I answered all the questions he was supposed to ask. We spent more than an hour talking about our past experiences in project management. I presume my interview experience was not typical.

Negotiation Details
There is no negotiation at the sales associate level. You have to take what they give. Truthfully, $11 an hour isn't terrible for the lowest position they offer.

Interviewed Mar 2012 in Huntsville, AL (took 3 days)
Applied online. Few days later, received a call from HR. Had to answer a few automated questions, and once done, the call was transferred to a human. Had to answer a few more questions related to customer assistance and had to give hours I was available. During the phone call, I was scheduled for an interview at the store 2 days later. Took close to an hour to meet with manager at face-to-face interview. No one knew where I was supposed to go and manager was no where to be found/busy. Answered a few more questions for manager and was offered the job immediately. Was given a form and directions to clinic for my drug test. Said it'll take 3-4 days for background check and test results to be available.

Interviewed Mar 2012 (took 5 weeks)
I applied online for several different positions and stores and go a call from a regional office a week or two later. It was an easy and straight forward interview on the phone and i was scheduled for an interview with a local store. From there it was basic questions and a drug and background check. I got a call several weeks later for a job offer.

Interviewed Mar 2012 in Colorado Springs, CO (took a day)
I applied online, completed a skills test and personality test. I was called in for an interview. The interview lasted only 10 minutes but I waited 20 in the break room before the interview because the manager was running late with store duties. A few questions was asked because I held the position that they were trying to fill in the past at another location. I took a drug test and submitted a background test and passed both but declined the offer when they decided to pay me less than what I ever made at two other stores. I asked why and the reply was "The economy is really bad we can't afford that anymore".
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
The pay was awful for a former employee who left on good terms.
