Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Feb 2011 – Reviewed May 24, 2012
Interview Details – Fairly straight forward hiring process. Begins online with basic info, skills, personality test, and basic IQ check. If that all checks out, a call center will call, ask a few more questions and verify info. Of course, if that all goes well, the HR at the store will call to schedule interview. Interview also fairly simple. Either the department manager will interview if they are available, if not the next manager in line will, if they aren't available, the HR manager will interview. If initial interview goes well, you will interview with the store manager. If that goes well you will be given directions to drug test and schedule orientation. As far as the attitude they're looking for, I'd say "Motivated" and "Self Starter" (As in you don't need a manager around to keep you working.) would be things to keep in mind.
Interview Question – Why are you a #1 draft pick? View Answer
Negotiation Details – As a non skilled or sales position, I wasn't given the opportunity to negotiate. If interviewing for a skilled/sales position you may be able to negotiate to 3-5% above lowest expected rate, based on previous experience/skills and of course how well the interview went.
Other Details - I applied online and the process took a day.
