Interviewed Oct 2009 (took a day)
Since I was already working at the Home Depot as a lumber associate, I was told of the posistion opening up on the MET team. I had to go online and apply for the position just as anyone would have to. I was called to find out if I was still interested in the posistion a couple weeks later by HR and they set up an interview date with me. I interviewed first with a member of HR in which I was asked a wide range of questions such as expectations of the position, why I wanted the position, why I thought I was qualified for the position, and to give examples in my past job history of things I accomplished, and how. Right after that interview I had another interview with the man who is the supervisor of the MET team. He went over the expectations of employees, what the conditions were, hours, etc. He also asked me about previous experiance, and asked if I had questions. It seemed pretty organized without being too formal.

Negotiation Details
I tried to negotiate a raise since I was going from a part time position to a full time one and was told they could not offer me any more money as I was comming to them from a store level. I would not be given a raise untill my one year review.
Other Details
I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview and a Background Check.

Interviewed Aug 2009 in Phoenix, OR (took a day)
The interview was very basic; in keeping with home depot's policy, there are no 'negative' questions, they don't ask what your past failures are. but they do want to know that you have applicable knowledge and skills to perform the job. this is a support position, they need the work done, and there are mechanisms in place to stop a given associate not doing his or her job.
