Interviewed Mar 2011 in Woodbury, MN (took a day)
Asked Questions fast but very basic. Easy if you perpare. Just walk in and start talking. most of the job is about who you are so act normal becasue they want people who look like they will work hard and are relyable. No need for a resume but have one just in case.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Broadview, IL (took 2 days)
I first got the screening interview Friday and got a call for a in person interview Monday the interview itself went smoothly I'm always nervous during interviews though thats what is my downfall but overall I think I did pretty well hopefully I get offer soon I'm just waiting now.
And my other concern is that Home Depot doesn't pay as much anymore I talked to an employee there and she said that don't get paid alot hopefully its rather reasonable though

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Carrollton, GA (took 1+ week)
I applied at the in-store kiosk. 2 days later i got an email stating they were interested and would be calling me, but that I could call if I didn't want to wait, and it gave a number. I called and did an inital phone screening/interview. It was a automated person at first, and then I was transferred to a real person, where they proceeded to ask basic interview questions (mostly about customer service). Then at the end of that, the person says I have an interview at the local store i had applied at. The interview consists of a series of questions and the interviewer writes down what you say. If you score high, they call you back for a second interview to propose a job offer. This particular store seemed very unorganized, but it could possibly be because they were trying to hire so many people at one time.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Catskill, NY (took 3 days)
I applied online for four different jobs, and the next day I received an email stating that I could call the staffing resource center, or they would call me (they actually called me while I was in the middle of already talking to them). The phone interview was fairly straight forward and towards the end she asked if I could do an in person interview. I took the first available time and I did my interview two days after. It was a 2 on 1 interview where they asked basic customer service questions.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Bastrop, TX (took 2 weeks)
Applied online, two weeks later received an email requesting a phone interview, the woman conducting was very nice and questions surprisingly easy,I think she only asked three questions, "give me an example of when you gave outstanding customer service,?" though I cannot remember the other two questions they were very similar. She thanked me for my time, told me I might get a call back, 5 hrs. later I received a call requesting a in person interview in 2hrs, that annoyed me a it, however the man interviewing me was also very nice, interview consisted of scenarios to determine customer service, again very easy and I was offered a part time job at 9.80/hr

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Redlands, CA (took 3 weeks)
I first received a phone interview that asked basic sales experience questions and after doing well they set a date for a 1:1 interview with a store manager. I arrived at the Home Depot and there were many applicants waiting to be interviewed. I sat and chatted with them for about 30 minutes because they were running behind then I was called in.
The woman interviewing me was really nice and I got along with her well. They had put me in the plumbing department but it was full so they switched me to Paint. After the interview I was told that I would get a call back for a second interview.
I waited a week and nothing. I called in and asked to speak to the manager and she remembered me and told me that they'd call soon. At the end of the week I called again and decided to drive down to the store and speak to someone. I talked to the manager again who assured me that she gave my application to the head of the paint department and that she was busy training.
This is the 2nd week and still no word from Home Depot and I'm getting worried. I'm expecting a call this week but I'm disappointed that they don't keep their applicants updated.
