Interviewed Feb 2012 in Raymond, OH (took 2 days)
50 students including myself were given free room and meals at the Embassy Suites in Dublin, OH. We met at 6:00 pm the first night for a meal and informal conversing with Honda employees. The next morning we were given power point presentations to describe the different opportunities. We then were taken on a tour of the facilities, followed by an information session describing the different engineering groups. The next day we were given the opportunity to interview with the groups of our choice.

Interviewed Feb 2012 in Raymond, OH (took a day)
Interview was part of a Honda R&D recruiting event. I interviewed with three different groups at Honda R&D along with a bunch of other engineers. The culture is very interesting. All employees wear a white smock and white pants, even the executives. Everyone was very nice and seemed to enjoy their jobs.
They asked me about stuff on my resume. No behavioral-based interview questions.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Raymond, OH (took 2 weeks)
After applying online I was sent an email with some questions to answer. About a week after I sent my answers, they called me to invite me to an on-site interview. At the interview there were four engineers and one HR employee (the one I had been corresponding with). For the most part I was asked to describe the experiences on my resume in more detail, and to describe how certain experiences benefited me. Overall the interview was not very difficult and was a good experience, although I was a little disappointed that they didn't ask me why they should choose me or what my strengths are.
I was given a tour of the most of the building and I liked what I saw. The engineers I spoke with in my interview seemed to like their work. The company paid for my flight, rental car, gasoline, hotel, and reimbursed my food expenses for the trip. Three weeks after my interview I was notified of the rejection.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Marysville, OH (took 1 week)
A recruiter called me to schedule a phone interview since I live more than 4 hours away from the job site. I had applied for a design engineering job and it wasn't until the end of the interview that they told me that they didn't really have what I wanted and that I should apply to a different part of Honda which would reset my interviewing process. The interview consisted of questions like "Describe a situation that consisted of an unfair amount of work" and "Describe your main responsibilities in your last job." For each question, my interviewer wanted me to describe the situation, the actions I took, and the results and then asked me more questions about the situation after I finished describing it.

Reason for Declining
They seemed very unorganized. The housing they provide is 30 minutes away and the first shift starts at 6:30 AM. They have a very strict 100% attendance policy, you have to wear a uniform, and no cell phones are allowed in the premises. They also didn't have the right job for me.

Interviewed Feb 2011 (took 2 days)
Well organized - group of 50 students were invited to the recruiting event. The first day consisted of presentations about the company, the different departments, and a tour. The last event was a small expo were all of the departments that were hiring were available to talk to personally and at the end of the day you ranked your top departments you want to interview with. They took us out to eat for dinner and employees were invited to allow for us to socialize. The next morning the interview schedule was released based the on the rankings from the day before. There were a few other activites taking place as people were rotating in and out of interviews. Typically people had 2-4 different departments they were interviewing for and each department usually had 2-5 people there interviewing each candidate. I heard back from Honda with their hiring decision in about 4 weeks.
