Industrial Engineering Intern Interview

Average Interview

The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Hormel (Austin, MN) in March 2008.

Initial contact was at a career fair; phone interview with HR followed, then a day-long process with a plant tour and three hours of behavioral interview questions from engineering department heads and other "bigwigs" at corporate office. Not for the faint of heart.

Interview Questions

  • Do you expect to pursue a master's program before beginning your full-time career?   1 Answer

Intern wages are pretty much set, and are pretty good considering a housing stipend and fairly low standards of living. Essentially no negotiations take place before signing a contract.
