InterContinental Hotels User Experience Manager Interview Question

I interviewed in Atlanta, GA and was asked:
"How do you work in an agency-like atmosphere, taking big ideas and ...? (Or something like that...was a bit confusing what the question actually was. I gathered they were trying to determine how best to prioritize and act upon internal initiatives in a strategic manner.)"

Was somewhat confused by question, but discussed how internal design group shouldn't act like agency, necessarily. Need the professionalism and discipline and strategic thinking, but can't always afford to be as grandiose in approach or spend as much time iterating due to time, money, and resource constraints.

Need to support professional development and encourage creative thinking, but balanced by practicality of delivering and maintaining harmonious working relationship with other internal orgs (business, marketing, technical development, etc.).
