It was amazing that I placed in to Huawei Technologies. It's a nice experience that I got selected in a Job fair conducted in Hyderabad by Huawei Technologies. Luckily I gone through 1 round of written test, 2 rounds of technical discussion on the same day and 2 more rounds on phone. It's too tough as it's purly progrmatic. Interviewers used to ask to write complex programs.

Hi,
I have attended the interview with huweai in november 2011. The interview process here is very long and includes more technical chanllenge. For me the have conduted 8-rounds in two days.
1-objective technical exam then 1-technical exam and asked programs(DB connection pooling, linked list, memory leakage, dead lock, etc). and then 2- technical rounds(These rounds conbduted by the employees in that project, and they will give the opinion about us. Here every buddy will come and give one program and ask to solve it.)
and then i havegone through 3- managerial rounds and final HR round.

On the same day evening i got the ofer withat company. But they have given only 40% hike in my salary.

Interview Questions

Programs like remove the duplicate numbers in sorted array by scanning the array only once, means {1,1,2,3,6,8,8,8,8}-->{1,2,3,6,8}, producer and consumer problem, and finding the sum of diagonal elemts in array of any size, etc

Reason for Declining

Reason for Rejection :
1) They are expecting more form me(means need to work around 11-14hrs perday).
2) They are giving 4.5lakhs for freshers, but they gave only 5.6 for 1.9 yers professional.

1.First round is subjective written test.
They asked around 6 programs on java to write.questions were good
.After a week,they called me for further rounds.
2.Had 1:1 two technical rounds .Asked questions on basics,some programs to write,some
logical questions.
3.Then I was called for Management round where they asked some questions like how I handle stress,past experience .about my perseverance.
4.Finally HR round about personal details

The HR scheduled my interview . I attended the 1st round and they told me they will call me for second round latter as the manager was not available that day . After 2-3 days the HR called again and scheduled the manager round after 2-3 days . I attaended the interview and it was ok . Latter after some days i mailed the HR to know the status of my interview , but she did not reply again after around 10 days i send a reminder to inform me about the result and again no reply. Latter i came to know from my friend (working in huawei) they have put my profile on hold. Till now after 40 days i have not recieved any mail from the HR . I felt very bad as they are not following basic HR process to reply my querry / mail . After all its a RTI to know your result when you spend 3-4 hour to attend the interview.

The interview process was awesome. Some very good questions were asked. The interview was conducted on two separate. first two round on one day and rest the following day. Here are the various interview rounds conducted at Huawei:

1) Written programming test. Wtih my 3.5 yrs of experience they asked me to write about 6 programmes in Java.
2) 1:1 interview technical round based on advanced Java concepts. Two more on the spots programmes.
3) 1:1 interview technical round based on Desgin. Questions like design a thread pool/connection pool, draw a class diagram of problem statement and use any design pattern and explain, design Hashmap, List etc.
4) 1:1 manageral/technical round. Questions like how will would you like to change the design of applciation you currently working on, how would sort a huge file wtih limited memory, what sort algorithm you will use. why you want to change the job etc.
5) HR round. why you want to change, why Huawei etc.
