Met with the branch manager of the branch I wanted to apply for. They were nice enough to meet me closer to work since they were very interested in me. Had a pretty good interview and everything went well. Sent a follow up email and no response and then left a message and no response a few days after the interview. Overall I would say that management is not on top of it within Huntington and very stuck up!

Interviewed Feb 2008 in Columbus, OH (took 6+ weeks)
Did an initial phone screen with HR rep. Pretty standard for the industry. Basic industry knowledge test then discussed softer skills. Most of the questions I asked were around the company.
Visited onsite and did a 1:1 interview with hiring manager and two peers. Also, did a group interview with some of the key business partners. All pretty standard, no trick questions and appeared to be open to answering questions honestly.

I applied for the job online. I then received an email asking that I take a computerized assessment. The next day I received a phone call asking for an interview. The interview was pretty basic. She started with telling me about the position, and then asked me pre-written questions that she had on a piece of paper. I was able to ask her questions at the end.

I applied on the Huntington web site and was called a few days later by a recruiter. I then was contacted a few days later to interview. The recruiter told me it was for a part time position at $8.00/hr. I thought the pay was exceedingly low but I was interested in getting a start in the banking industry. When I sat in the lobby, the main manager came up close to me. I smiled at him and he gave me a smug look. The HR manager was very professional but had high expectations for sales experience. I have had retail sales experience and have also owned two small retail businesses but she frowned and asked if I have had formal training or experience. I felt their expectations were very high for the pay and position.
