    I applied in-person – interviewed at Hurley Medical Center (Flint, MI) in December 2010.

    Had 3 interviews: one w/HR, 2 w/ Nurse manager of unit. She was very precise. She also ask about personal life: marital status, number of children, hobbies, likes/dislikes. She also ask if I thought I could work with the mixture of clients we would have; ages 1 week of age to 100 years of age. This was a very good training unit, because of the mix of clients,

    • She ask me; "As a new hire and graduate nurse, and you have a question, would you ask the seasoned LPN or the newer RN?   1 Answer

    Schedule, salary, shift. Going for interviews, be yourself.

    Not effective. Degrees count more than experience. Selection process is flawed. They make everyone take tests to see if they qualify, but the tests don't really match up with the qualfications to do the job.
