Interviewed Feb 2010 (took a day)
During my initial interview the interviewer did not have any of my information and behaved as if they did not remember that I had even been scheduled. I preceded to give them a copy of the resume that I had with me so that could ask specific instead of general questions.

Interviewed Jun 2010 in Jacksonville, FL (took 2 days)
We have a process that once you are approved to apply for a position they match you for that position. Then you apply online for that job. The Division head will contact your curent Division head to discuss if you are a ready for the position and what your weakness and strengths are. Then they will contact you and depending on how far away you are they may fly you in or do a Skype interview. And during that time they will call anybody they know that may know you to get a feel of your work ethic and attitude and just what kind of person you are. If you get the chance to visit the property they go all out with a nice room, and lunch and after the day of interviewing they take you out for a nice dinner. Most of the time you get the job its just yours to accept or turn down

Interviewed Mar 2010 in San Francisco, CA (took 2 weeks)
I completed the job application online and was called by the HR dpt for an in-person interview. There was a super short screening process by the HR mgr to find out what department I wanted to intern for and she had me interview directly with the department that I wanted to intern for, I believe it was the Food and Beverage dpt or Catering dpt. I met the the head lady in the dpt and although she told me they were interested in bringing me on board, they never called back.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Bellevue, WA (took a day)
This was a very informal interview. With my college majors, I am sure they felt I was qualified. Basically, they just informed me of the job duties and the benefits and salary that came with it. No interview questions were asked. Just "how did you hear about this position" and "do you have reliable transportation". It sounded like I had the job but a second person came over and commented that they thought I would be best suited for a different position within the company. So far I have been told of three different positions and no interview questions. I have met four very prominent individuals of the company. No offers yet, but I hope to hear of one soon.

Interviewed Jun 2010 in Santa Clara, CA (took 1 week)
I had four interviews. One with an HR associate, one with the Front Office manager, one with the Rooms Executive and finally, one with the General Manager. My interviews were on different days and I had to keep coming in, it was inconvenient. Staff really looks for if you know information about the hotel (how many rooms/meeting room space)and its key clients (business/dance groups & conventions/weekenders & Great America). Learning about the loyalty program would also be a plus.

Negotiation Details
Due to lack to experience I was offered the PBX position, which I was told was a few cents lower (salary wise) than a Front Office position.
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview and a Background Check.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Bonita Springs, FL (took 5 days)
Hyatt Sales Director liked my resume and "all that I bring to the table..."
Howevr, the Sales Executive had been filled internally by a Hyatt transfer.
Sales Director said,"he would hire me...at the next available opening..."
*Hyatt is a "tough nut to crack". However, when you are in...you are in/
I believe the "Best Way" to get a job at Hyatt is to apply on line and do a follow up
phone call in 5 business days with the *Key Supervisor*, who can hire you.

Interviewed Jan 2011 (took 4 weeks)
HR called and said it was going to be a panel interview, but instead I interviewed with HR 1st, then I interviewed with the department manager who showed me around the area. Finally the director interviewed me with the department manager. Then I was interviewed by the GM and they offered me the job.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
The compensation was not enough. They seem to have a very nice work environment, but through out the entire interview process I felt that they were not communicating to each other about the position they were hiring for. Everyone had a different description of what this position was suppose to be doing.
