I applied through a staffing agency and the process took 4 months - interviewed at IBM in October 2013.
Interview Details –
Here is the hiring process in sequence :-
1. Telephonic Interview by Senior Management - Typically happens within 1-2 weeks after resume is shortlisted
2. Call for face to face interview - After you clear telephonic round, IBM will give you different options to choose location and date for face to face interview.
3. Face to face interview will start with a presentation by IBM. All interviewers will be divided in groups (typically 3 per table), and a case study will be given to each group.
4. Expectation from each group is to discuss the case study, and be ready for presentation in front of senior management. Each team member in a group must decide what he/she would present. Typically you will get 2-3 min to present your section.
5. Three rounds of face to face interview will be conducted after case study presentation.

Interview Details – Interview day involved a group case interview and several individual interviews. In the group case interview, you work with a team to solve a business problem for a fictitious client, then present the strategy to IBM interviewers acting as "CEO" and other company leaders. Individual interviews were standard 'walk me through your resume' type of interviews.
Interview Question – One interviewer had me stop in the middle of my answer so he could go out in the hall to take a phone call, then expected me to pick up right where I left off. Not sure if it was a behavioral test or just odd/rude, but I was able to remember where I needed to restart the answer. Answer Question
