Interviewed Jun 2010 in Bangalore (India) (took a day)
Staffing agency did all the intial working for getting me an interview scheduled. But I found that it was a kind of walkin. I had to wait for more that 4-5 hour for my first round of Interview. First round was the technical round. Took more than one hour to complete. I was totally exhausted (more beacuse of waiting for the interview).
Final round was the HR round, more of a negotiation than an interview.

Interviewed Jul 2010 in Bangalore (India) (took a day)
The hiring process was smooth and consisted of one round of technical interview and one HR round. At the end of the HR round I was advised of the role for which I am being considered based on the interactions in that round and they spelled out an offer which I negotiated to match my expectations.

was good.
very organised process. a written test, then couple of telephonic technical rounds, then a couple of face to face interviews which includes your technical skill assessment, about the projects and products you have worked on, design skills are also tested, and lot of puzzles.
After that couple of manager rounds.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Bangalore (India) (took a day)
This year (2010) IBM India planned to hire about 10,000 new recruits (freshers + experienced personnels), so it was relatively easier (I strongly stress "relatively") to get counted in. We first had a 1-hr aptitude written test, followed by a group discussion of 15 mins. After that we had 1:1 personal technical interview. The final interview was the HR round. What bothers me is that the package they offered is below my expectation for such a strongly reputed company. The drift to more service-based work is another scare.
