Interviewed Sep 2010 in Hyderabad (India) (took 2 months)
hiring process was good, it was lengthy and some times had too much of ambiguity. I had to follow up with the recruiter every week to understand the progress of my candidature. Also I have foregone two different plum offers from two other companies, as I was keen on this organization and did not want to miss this one. I had gone through 4 different rounds of telephonic interview, one round of personal, two rounds of presentation. They offered me a very lower band. With my kinda experience I could have been placed in a better band, but they say India is a low cost country and so we can only offer so much and cannot pay more. That was very sad, but as I have missed out other two opportunities, had to accept this one. Also they promised an on-shore travel project, but never gave that chance, when asked they showed a recession reason, but thats not how a world renowned company should keep its promises to its employees. Offer has clearly stated that flexibility of working from home is provided, but that was restricted in a few months post joining the company. They do not provide transport nor do they pay shift or transport allowance. Its difficult to work with such company.

Even a extremely dumb person should clear this interview, there is written test which consists of some stupid questions, followed by a 1:1 with some dumb manager from IBM, well if you have cleared your 10th standard exam , you can get into IBM too

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Hyderabad (India) (took a day)
I was bugged by one of the consultancy from Kolkata to take interview of IBM. I told my expectations to the Consultancy guy and said I would not accept the offer if IBM offers less amount than my expectation. The consultancy guy convinced me that he would talk to IBM and make IBM to offer the amount which I was expecting. I was told that it was a scheduled interview and process would take only 3-4 Hrs.
When I reached the venue (IBM Hyderbad), I found I am not alone but there were hundreds of people lined up for Interview. And it took me 2 Hrs to get into the IBM building. Then another 2 Hrs for getting a call for technical interview. Interview was good.
After the interview I was asked to wait for sometime to know the result of Interview. After waiting another 1 Hour, I went and checked with one HR who was monitoring the interviews and he asked me to leave. Then another HR came and asked to wait and fillup the form for PM round. After filling te form I waited for another 1 hour for my chance. The PM round interview was good again. Then I was asked to leave.
After a week or 2 one fine day I got the Offer, I was so excited to check what is my offer. When I saw the offer, I should say no Permanent employee would go for the offer. I was offered 30% less than my current CTC and a designation lesser than what I am having. When I replied to IBM with all possible data about my current salary, the guy responed saying that I should join for same Salary offered and it cannot be changed. The IBM HR never ever called me about the offer. I called the consultancy guy to check about the offer. That guy said he would revert back to me once he talks to IBM which he never done it till date.
I was so frustrated with the IBM interview process and Consultancy that I decided I will never join IBM in my entire life.
I wanted to ask IBM why should someone who is permanent in his current company join them with lesser salary and designation. I think they conducting the interviews only for namesake. I suggest who ever see this review please dont fall into the trap of these consultancies which call fo interviews.
Reason for Declining
Worst possible dealing with a Wannabe Employer before joining the company, not sure how they would treat the after joining the company.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Hyderabad (India) (took a day)
IBI - Infra Managers - Asked for Night shifts- No Rotation based. Panel has some set of questions and answers. Unless they hear that particular answer, they are not aggreeing for any other. Interviewer is a bit reckless towards the candidates. His sitting postion , gestures are not professional. Felt a bit un comfortable at interview.
Finally , they told , they will get back to me ....
