I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IBM in Jun 2011
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter who had found my resume online. I had a brief phone screen with a "dotted line report" manager and then a 30 minute phone interview with the hiring manager. Both managers gave me a brief overview of IBM, the position, and asked me some fair questions about my experience. I never had a face-to-face interview, because the position, like many with IBM, was remote. A couple of days later I heard back from the recruiter, saying that IBM wanted to proceed with an offer. I then had to complete a background check and a drug screen. I think the whole process took about two weeks.

Interview
Phone interview and took another 2 weeks to inform weather u will continue the the next process or not. The Recruiter is nice and very polite and the way he/she talk to you seems like you are a good fit for the position but overall ok
It was intensive, multiple interviews that spanned weeks. I met with someone who worked in the department and one of the hiring managers. Overall they’re looking for people with technical backgrounds
