Interviewed Feb 2012 (took 2 weeks)
I had 2 phone interviews. One with the recruiter, second a technical interview. Then they called me for an interview day. It consisted of a case interview and then 2 1:1 interviews. The overall process was really good. I was informed throughout the process. The whole process was really good. I got good comments from the interviewer at the end of my interview. I was handed a business card and told I can contact him for any further information.

Everything was handle by recruiter over the phone. I had technical interview to check my background experience. After I passed this phase, I had 1:1 interview with 2 IBMers. I also passed.

So, I accepted.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in New York, NY (took 2 months)
The interview process was a bit longer than usual. It mainly consisted of phone interviews since everyone is remote. I was asked questions regarding my technical and business process background. This consisted of 5 phone interviews prior to an offer being made. Everyone was pretty easy and wanted to understand my background and how it could fit with their current needs.

Interviewed Jun 2010 (took 3 weeks)
Initial phone screening with recruiter, in-person interview consisted of teamwork with other candidates to strategize and present solution regarding a fictitious problem for a fictitious company, written essay regarding past challenging project, 3 one-on-one interviews that involved technical and behavioral questions. Interview was very stressful but I was very impressed with the process and dedication to finding the right candidates.

Interviewed Apr 2008 (took 7+ weeks)
Most interviewees can expect to receive an initial phone screen from the recruiter, one to two phone interviews from IBMers, and then be brought in for a face to face interview (full day interview).

Negotiation Details
I was asked what I wanted to make - that was the offer I received. I would advise you to ask for anything that isn't clear - make sure it is in writing. If you are offered a quarterly bonus, in lieu of your request, be willing to accept that you probably will not get this. If you are offered this, make sure it is in writing. I am not sure even if an in writing offer like this would stand up - it is at discretion of your manager.

Interviewed Jun 2010 (took 6 weeks)
- Relatively regimented interview schedule, as would be expected with such a large company
- Standard interview process for a consulting position
--- Phone interview covering background and essentially informational
--- Interview with a Partner covering experience and project work specially related to the position
--- Second interview with a Partner covering experience and also behavioral/fit
--- Interview day (in an IBM office): small group case (team of 3-4, limited time, presentation to "board"), 2-3 interviews with Partners (usually a good sign if the hiring manager interviewed you over the phone and at the Interview day)

Before you negotiate the offer, research what other companies offer for similar positions and provide that figure as your salary target. Very little flexibility in salary after the offer is provided.
