Interviewed Apr 2010 in New York, NY (took 3 days)
I can't really remember much. Received a call from the recruiter who asked if I was interested in the position. I then had a phone interview with the HR department. After that I had to take a personality test. Once that was completed, I had an in person interview with HR. After that process I met with the supervisor of the deaprtment and discussed the duties of the job. I walked around the office to take note of the cubes, offices and all around location. Once that was completed, I met with her boss and discuss speciifics. Salary, benefits, etc.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in New York, NY (took 4 weeks)
Overall, I was displeased with the way IBM handled the interview process for this position. I went through 5 half hour phone interviews and 2 in-person interviews over a span of 4 weeks. I was abundantly qualified for the position and was given very positive feedback throughout the process. The final interview required me to take a half day off of my current job and drive from NYC (the position was telecommute) up to Armonk to interview on site with a high level manager. The interview seemed to go very well.
Based on all of this, I figured I was one of only 2 or 3 in the final rounds. However, several weeks passed after this interview and I heard nothing. I inquired and was told "no decision has been made." I waited several more weeks and still heard nothing, no a full month after my last interview. Again, I inquired and was told, "No decision has been made although we are looking at other options". The next day, the job was reposted to job sites. Two weeks later, I was finally informed I did not get the position.
Overall, this was a very time consuming process and I was given every indication that I was under serious consideration. If there was a problem or a change in direction, they should have communicated that to me. Instead, I was forced to ask what was going on not once, but twice. This after the hiring manager telling me that I "sound perfect" for the position. IBM needs to be more respectful of people's time and be more communicative in their hiring process. I can accept not being offered the position, but feel that IBM mistreated me in the interview process.

The interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview and a Group/Panel Interview.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in Armonk, NY (took 2 months)
The interview was so incredibly long and tedious it wasn't worth it to me. I could feel the tension between colleagues during the interview "hand offs" between one person to the next. The lady who was to be the hiring manager was booted midstream throughout the interview process which took over 2 months. THe new hiring manager was clueless and we started ALL OVER AGAIN. NO THANKS

Interviewed Apr 2011 in New York, NY (took 2 months)
The interview process was a bit longer than usual. It mainly consisted of phone interviews since everyone is remote. I was asked questions regarding my technical and business process background. This consisted of 5 phone interviews prior to an offer being made. Everyone was pretty easy and wanted to understand my background and how it could fit with their current needs.
