The interview Process was very smooth for me. I applied online. After applying to almost over 25 jobs I got an interview call. I had an initial Phone interview with the Human Resource. A phone interview with Department manager and a Phone interview with Team manager & IPATO test.

Negotiation Details

The whole interview Process at IBM was very very Pleasant experience. The 1st interview with HR Coordinator(who was very nice and helpful), the second interview with Department Manager was again behavior and Technical mix. The last interview with Team Manager was highly Technical and again was very nice experience.

I was able to negotiate my terms and I would suggest all not to be shy or over sacred in negotiating terms but after you recieve your Verbal Offer.

Other Details

I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, an IQ/Intelligence Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Mar 2010 in Ottawa, ON (Canada) (took 4+ weeks)

I had a phone screener, with basic programming questions, followed by an in-depth technical phone interview several weeks later, where I was asked more detailed questions about compilers, OS's and more.

After a while longer, I was finally told that they were not hiring me for the position, though it took quite a while to find out.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Ottawa, ON (Canada) (took a day)

I got the interview through the CO-OP program at my school. Interviewer was very nice, got along very well. I was able to answer most of the questions, none of them very technical. The most technical question was "What are the 3 main terms in a SQL Select statement". Questions were mostly about my past experiences, previous work terms, my classes etc. some hypothetical questions. Overall, pretty easy, just be yourself and be able to elaborate on your past experiences and be able to explain how you solved problems.
