Admissions Representative Interview

Admissions Representative

Interviewed at ITT Technical Institute

Interview Details – Basically, don't have anything bad to say about this company. Great experience and the people are awesome too. I recommend the job to anyone new in the industry. The training is really great also. You'll have a great time and get best of the best industry training.

Interview Question – To move up in the industry, it's nearly impossible. There's a lot of overhead and the pay is going to be less than competitive to do what you want to do. Everything is extremely monitored, you'll feel like a caged animal working in those cubicles too.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Very simple, just a letter and accept.

Difficult Interview

Management Trainee Interview

Management Trainee

I applied online and interviewed at ITT Technical Institute.

Interview Details – Process included two phone interviews, three in-person interviews (one with all the local managers individually, and one with the campus director). Having the multiple individual interviews wit the local managers was very helpful as it gave me a sense of what each department looked for in an employee and gave me the opportunity to highlight how I could fill the role in each area.

Interview Question – The most difficult question was to explain how to tie your shoes. This is one of those questions you don't expect and actually take some thinking on the fly to walk someone through the process. The question was used to gauge my ability to give direction, remain calm under pressure, and my attention to detail.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Don't try to negotiate. Typically, offers are generated by HQ and the local level leadership has no authority to negotiate.

I applied online and the process took 4 weeks - interviewed at ITT Technical Institute in January 2012.

Interview Details – Apply on-line, take aptitude test, called in for interview.

Interview Question – Same questions over and over again just in a different form. It's about a two hour interview but I wouldn't say it was hard, just frustrating because you're asked the same question over and over again.   View Answer

Negotiation Details – You have to negotiate high because you won't get a raise despite was is told to you in the interview.

Admissions Representative Interview

I applied online and the process took 6+ weeks - interviewed at ITT Technical Institute in October 2011.

Interview Details – I met with the Director of Recruitment once. It was a basic and easy interview. She asked me about my previous work experience and why I wanted to work for ITT Tech.

Interview Question – There was a test (Wonderlic) you had to complete before you are invited in for the interview. It's a standard test they give to the students as well (they also give them to NFL players I was told). If you do not pass the test you will not be invited back for a face to face interview. I completed the test in the school.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – They claim there will be a negotiation phase but there isn't one. They basically tell you what you are going to make. If you decline then they will resend your offer. I already left my other job so I was stuck!

Electronics Adjunct Interview

Electronics Adjunct
Atlanta, GA

I applied online and the process took 2 months - interviewed at ITT Technical Institute in June 2013.

Interview Details – Applied, then had to wait for my CV to make it through the necessary processes (this took over a month - I had to chase it up myself). Then I was required to do a test-teach. Basically teach a concept to 3-5 instructors to show I can handle myself well at the front of the classroom.
I presented how Logic Gates work and how they are used. Before I got to finishing my example, I was asked to stop and got the position

Negotiation Details – The pay was non-negotiable, or as I was told "ITT is to education what McDonalds is to Restaurants"

Student Representative Interview

I applied through an employee referral and the process took 3 months - interviewed at ITT Technical Institute in April 2009.

Interview Details – fairly simple, pass the initial two part test, and you are 90% in the door, the ironic part is that not many can actually pass the very simple test. The test is in two parts, personality and basic education, the personality test itself looks for sales driven yet submissive employment; the basic education is fairly basic but this part is timed.

Interview Question – If you are looking to advance upwards to if fast, once they notice your value and potential, it does not become your choice on how you move around in the organization, they will only move/promote you pertaining to how they feel is solely best for them on their pace.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – high ball them and they will give you the max, very simple
