1/2 x 1/2 = 1/4

It's a 1/2.
The first child can be either a boy or a girl, for the second child to be the opposite gender the probability is 1/2.
Or another way
Boy Boy 1/4
Boy Girl ] 1/4 +
Girl Boy ] 1/4 =1/2
Girl Girl 1/4

Why would they need to ask a biological question like that when it comes to game programmer? Unless if it's about your math skills instead of biology skills, what do they care?
