I answered honestly saying: I would not be the ideal candidate for that position and that is not the position advertised, that I am applying for, or seek. Therefore it is up to them to determine where they think the job is going before making me an offer. If the job turned into that, I would doubt that I would remain happy in the position and would look for other opportunites.
