If you are busy in your section and you are with a customer

  and have others waiting, how do you know if they are wanting to buy or if they are just looking?

The answer they are looking for is that you are not afraid to ask for the sale. I told them that you have to be able to read people. Some people are able to do that and some can't. Is the person at the point where they are just chit chatting and no longer really talking about buying? When you get to that point, ask the person "So which phone would you like, this one or this one (what ever ones they were looking at)". The interviewer said that was the answer he was looking for, that you have to be willing to ask for the sale and that there are some people that are just there to "kick the tires". :)
