Interviewed Sep 2011 in Kings Langley, England (United Kingdom) (took 4+ weeks)
Phone screen included questions on how to implement floating point arithmetic, clock-domain crossing, ASIC design workflow. I thought I failed, but got called back for an in-person interview. At the in-person interview, I was quizzed on FIFO block diagrams, power saving modes, clock-domain crossing, VHDL code mistakes, then Python syntax and shallow copy problems. Overall quite intimidating and again I thought I didn't do that great.
This was one of the few in-person interviews where I really felt that I was still being intensely interviewed, instead of either a casual dialogue or the company taking the opportunity to show you their facility, great corporate culture, and try to recruit you to join their company. At ImgTec it was more like a pressure cooker, and then 'let's walk through the desk area' and 'here's the door'. Definitely didn't get that warm feeling that they wanted me or thought I'd be a good fit.

Negotiation Details
Was able to negotiate the salary up by 3k from 40k to 43k, primarily due to the limited data available on GlassDoor. All/most reviews stated that the payscale at IMG was below market conditions. Employment contract included a 2-month notice period which I unsuccessfully tried to get decreased to 1 month.

Interviewed Feb 2009 (took a day)
The interview is quite casual. Some technical questions. The guy interviewed me was very friendly.
There is nothing heard from them for like a month after the interview. Somehow when I asked I was told that I have made into the final few candidates for manager to decide. And then it was another a month or so waiting, after which eventually I was notified (again after I asked) no been accepted.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Kings Langley, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
Firstly, I went to the Career Day for Graduates at the company and had the opportunity to spoke with managers. Then they send me an e-mail and asked me to make an application online. Then I went for an interview (technical 1:1) and after the 1:1 , 10 minutes interview with the HR manager. The technical interview included a recently implemented project in college (draw on the blackboard and discuss extensions). Then some basic digital design questions as:
1)Setup and hold times in flip flops, metastability.
2)Describe the Complete design cycle for an ASIC (block diagram, architecture, RTL design, synthesis, simulation, testing).
3)Write through vs write back caches.

Interviewed May 2010 in Leeds, Yorkshire and the Humber, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
It all started with an e-mail by the HR manager asking to arrange a phone interview. The phone interviewer started asking me technical questions such as threads, static global variables, compiler optimisation and fundamental things about computer science and low level applications in general. That was followed by several personal questions. Not the general ones, they were specifically designed according to my CV and study background.
I got the feeling that I did not do very good, however, I received another e-mail from one member of the technical staff to invite me to an on-site interview. They were also interested in seeing some code of one of my old projects.
The interviewers were a group of 3. At first they asked me some personal questions and we had a very nice chat, with plenty of humor. Then there was a 3-page test that had to do with C. Questions started from the basic ones (pointers, pointer math, endiannes) and the last one was more advanced. Specifically, it was a small program and there were questions that had to with real time issues and others like "what would happen if such an incident occurred".
After that, I was given a tour of the building and I had the chance to meet employees and see how they work and what they do.
The last part was a small presentation of some code of mine, which lasted around 30 minutes.
During the whole process the atmosphere was very friendly and I really enjoyed talking to my interviewers. The test was also very interesting. I did not feel nervous at all, instead I was enjoying the conversation very much. The best part was the tour around their office.
All in all, the interview with them was a great experience that helped me a lot to improve myself and succeed in my second interview, that resulted in a job offer.

Interviewed Mar 2010 (took a day)
I was interviewed via phone by an engineer and an HR manager. They asked me some very tricky questions about HW design. The answers were not so obvious. Also, due to the phone I couldn't sometimes understand the Engineer (he had also heavy British accent). The questions were actually problems of Digital Design. Also, they asked me about my past projects and my studies.
Finally, the HR manager asked me some general questions like: "Why did you apply for Imagination Technologies", "Tell me about your strong and weak points."
The interview last for about an hour.
