I applied through college or university. The process took 4+ monthsinterviewed at Imperial College London.

    Interview

Wrote grant application for the European commission, no interview questions.

Imperial does provide good examples of previously succesful applications.

The process for the commission takes about 3.5 months, then it takes another couple of months to finish the administrational process. The deadline is usually mid August.

    Interview Questions

    • There were no interview questions. I did contact a professor beforehand to discuss my application.   Answer Question

    Interview

I proceeded to this role directly after I finished my Phd degree in Imperial College. No interview required. I think my research work and capability have been recognized during the 4 years' time. And it is easier to proceed to a postdoctoral research if you have obtained your degree under the same supervisor.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Imperial College London (London, England (UK)) in March 2015.

    Interview

Had to submit application online and was confirmed an interview within four days which was quick. Had a panel interview which consisted of three people - a dept head, one from marketing and HR. All very nice - traditional competency based format, where examples were required. Interview began slightly later than scheduled time and also over ran slightly - all in all lasted about an hour. The university cover your travelling expenses which is a nice gesture.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 6 daysinterviewed at Imperial College London (London, England (UK)) in February 2015.

    Interview

Received an email quite shortly after submitting an open call for C.V.s. Went to the branch campus and had a ~20 minute interview with two people - one person who I would be working directly with, and another who worked with the team but had a more peripheral role. Relaxed interview, friendly people.

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 1 dayinterviewed at Imperial College London (London, England (UK)).

    Interview

No interview process is required. You just have to send an e-mail to the professor with whom you are interested to undertake a research project with. You then just discuss your interests and motivation. For Imperial students the process is a lot easier.
