eventually phone interview with VP of group.

overall fairlly uninspired process.. the more senior the interview the longer the tenure the more I wanted to end the process. In other words the newer hires seemed credible but when I spoke to the senior team members I decided to not continue with the process..

Research Statistician at Infogroup

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Dallas, TX Dec 2012 – Reviewed Mar 7, 2013

Interview Details – My specific division functions as a virtual company with telecommuters that are dispersed across the country. Perhaps for that reason, all of my interviews were by telephone. I spoke with 5 people. None of the interviews were highly structured. They all just tried to engage me in an intelligent conversation about their business.

Interview Question – No one was excited to speak with me, and they were all pressed for time. I realized that they wouldn't remember a polite conversation with me over the telephone unless I took a risk. So I introduced new topics and volunteered personal opinions. That piqued their interest. I would not be working for them today if I had not become proactive.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Salary negotiations were quick and to-the-point.

Developer at Infogroup

No Offer – Interviewed in Apr 2011 – Reviewed May 31, 2011

Interview Details – There was a phone interview followed by an a set of on-site interviews with different groups of staffers. Questions were focussed on accomplishments, approach and experience. Salary expectations were asked several times. Office was nice, but a little cramped. Appears that long hours are required. Staffers were energetic and experienced, but hadn't been with the company for more than 1-2 years.

Interview Question – Tell me about a project you worked on and are proud of.   Answer Question
