Interviewed Dec 2010 in Bangalore (India) (took a day)
The interview process was quite an easy one.
First we had an aptitude test and verbal ability test was there. The selected students went for the HR interviews because we did not have a Tech interview. There were 8 parallel panels taking the interviews.
The most common questions asked by the HR people...
1. Tell me about yourself
2. Strength and weakness
3. Tell me the details of the project you have done
4. family background
5. The toughest moment in life
6. The condition when you had dilemma
7. Extra-curricular activities

Interviewed Jan 2008 in Bangalore (India) (took a day)
It wasa very interesting experience. While other companies drilled down more on the analytical expertise of the candidate, Infosys only tested us on the problem solving efficacy using logical questions. After the initial test, even the 1-1 interview was cool and collected, with the fact that they limited the number of candidates to a dire minimum set.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in Bangalore (India) (took a day)
I applied online after they post the position on school's career website. Later on they called me - 30 min phone call to discuss CV and hear about the projects available. I was asked if interested and whether I would be willing to spend the summer in India. It was rather easy because my background fit with one of the projects. Very straight to the point and they trust what you write on your CV.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Bangalore (India) (took a day)
Prior to attending the interview, i had enormous respect for Infosys because of discipline and process followed by them.It is one of very few reputed firms where hierarchal growth is very transparent and a truly an equal opportunity provider for all it's employees.
Got a call to attend the interview on Sep 24th '10. Went to their electronics city campus 2:00 pm. After filling the the application form (i strongly suggest you fill it prior going to the campus and carry a printout), i waited till 4:30 for interview. Eventually a technical panel member called me for a discussion and the gentleman was very polite and positive in approach. During the interview, he was trying to extract the answers from me rater than move on to the next questions. Since i fall for the technology lead position in .NET, i was asked on SQL Joins, Abstract Factory Pattern ( Not a straight forward question, but with example), Enterprise Architect, WCF, TFS Server, and few basic .NET questions. Interview went fine and later i was asked to wait for HR interview.
Here comes the mystery part. I have quoted my current and expected salary from Infy in the application form. The HR member referred that and said they can offer me even more. He appreciated my current experience (nearly 7 years in one firm,) and the technical feedback which was very positive. But he cited that my engineering percentile was not upto the mark which is a fact (But i am still unsure, why is this considered even after 7 years of solid IT experience in a CMM level 5 company. Above that i got a call from Infosys for the interview only after submitting my percentile details, if it was a criteria then i should not have received a call letter ). After initial discussion, the HR member said they will intimate me about the decision in 7-10 working days and i started to leave. then in less than 10 minutes i got a call from the HR member asking me to come back. I went back and he said they had a quick chat with the HR manager and they are recruiting me and i will be receiving the offer letter in 7-10 working days. TO MY SURPRISE & SHOCK, AFTER 8 WORKING DAYS I RECEIVE A MAIL FROM INFOSYS STATING WE ARE UNABLE TO OFFER YOU ANY POSITION CURRENTLY THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING. Though i was little disappointed in not making even after faring well, but what saddened me was the way things were handled after the HR member confirmed my selection into INFOSYS.
I assume there would have a been a communication gap, during internal discussions before finalising the list of selected employees, but certainly expect better from INFOSYS. Anyway, i am sure these sort of things dont happen frequently to everyone. It's just misfortune.

Interviewed Jul 2008 in Bangalore (India) (took 4+ weeks)
The selection process consisted of 2 rounds, the written test and interview. The written test consisted of two rounds.First we had 10 puzzles for 60minutes.Second we had verbal test for 30minutes (very easy).
The result took around 20 days. And then interview was scheduled. Interview was again puzzles and general interests. They are actually not looking for answers but the your problem solving approach. So you got to express how you think the problem could be solved.
