Interviewed Dec 2010 in Hyderabad (India) (took a day)
It was a Campus interview.
It consisted of : (a) a Written test
and (b) an HR interview.
The Written test had two parts : (a) Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning
(b) Analytical Reasoning
Each part in the written test had a few sections
We need to clear all the parts ie we need to score a minimal cut-off for each section, which is not disclosed.
Comming to the HR interview::
Its 1:1 , so no need to be so much tensed. Just be confident and give the correct reply.
Once you have cleared the written test, You can be 90% sure of clearing the interview.
All the best :-)

In infy once the resume is uploaded through internal reference, you will get a call from the HR executive first to fix your available slot for interview and same will be communicated to you over mail.
Before attending the interview you are asked to fill the details of your qualification, experience, salary structure and your academic scores semister wise and handover the same during interview.
In the interview mainly they will focus on your skill set and the role you are currently doing.
They expect you to answer mostly about the process you followed during your job, like how you handle a CR i.e how the CR is reached you,how you fix, test and deliver it.
you need to use the industry accepted terminology not like a layman definitions.

They have offered me 8.5 when I was having 7. I did not accept the same and have asked 10.
I was asked to justify the same and I did which I cannot put in here.
After that I came away from there.
After some time HR guys called back and say that are ok with the figure and offered me.
They offered the job in the new Uppal campus in Hyderabad
Advice from my side: Stick to your pay figure.

Interviewed Mar 2010 in Hyderabad (India) (took a day)
Paraphernalia : Prior to 2 weeks , I got an call from the hiring team in Bangalore. It followed by 2 application forms sent to my email. One was in the format of a resume format , other was an excel sheet for capturing grade points from high school till now.I went to interview with print outs of above two and salary details.
Interview : I was given a time slot.Interview started with a panel of two persons on time. Initially one of them asked about technology for about 30 mins. Then the other person asked me about process, qa etc for another 30 mins. They too asked about my expectations from Infosys (other than salary)
The second round was from HR:Before I entered the room, the verdict was out.My initial salary was above the benchmark salary of Infosys(as it seems). So they asked me to join with a pay cut of 12% and I walked out.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Hyderabad (India) (took 2 days)
Started off with a telephonic conversation with the concerned line managers. After i was recommended, i was called for a personal interview at Hyderabad, where the interaction (it was more of a casual chat than an interview) lasted for about an hour's time with the practice head.
soon after, within another 15 days, i was handed out the offer letter for joining.

This has been the ugliest phase. I have worked with them earlier in 2004-05, and back then this was a honest company that didnt pay differential pay to its employees. True, it was a stingy, miserly company that bloated up the compensations by including several variable components; but then the packages were uniform all across.
However, this time, after they implemented the iRACE program internally and left everyone confused; the designation and packages have become all the more confusing. They offered me a Senior consultant's role for my 7+ years' experience. Going by 2005 hierarchies, this sounded ok (a band E role - in terms of the designation). However, i soon realised that my the bands were totally re-written, and this designation was lying at the same band where i had left infy 5 years ago - band C!!!
Now they map people and their roles to a 'numberic; system ranging from 1-9 or something. I was offered a band 5, while my peers - who had joined with me - were at band 6! In other words, after having spent 5 years in the industry trying to gather the much needed functional expertise that infy can never provide, they were wanting to take me at a lower level than what i originally was at!!!!
I did accept the offer initially, assuming them to be as transparent and honest as they were 6 years ago....but i soon realised that this is not the same company as i had left. They gave all lame excuses for not giving me a band 6, and tried to ensure i end up joining at the lower band - and foresake my promotions for a good 2-3 years.
I havent yet joined them, will do so in Apr-10; however with this nonsense going on, i have no intentions of coming on board.
